Restored Butcher Block Farmhouse Table

Dimensions: Length 60 inches, Width 35.5 inches, Height 29.5 inches, Weight 66 pounds. Here’s a simple, classic table that comfortably seats six. It would fit nicely in a kitchen, dining room, or breakfast nook with complementary (somewhat traditional) décor. The legs are easily removable, each held in place with two nuts and bolts. Was $225, now $200. Click here to purchase.

The Story

This was a refinishing project. I found the table in a dumpster in front of a house being renovated in the Burleith neighborhood of D.C. I stripped and sanded the top to clean it up and bring out the natural light wood tone. I repainted the frame and legs a nice crisp white. I added some corner braces to better attach the top to the inside of the frame rails. It’s a piece that while not unique, has some nice character that many people might appreciate.
