Rocking Foot Rest

Gifted to my mother-in-law, summer 2021: Dimensions: Length 20 inches, Width 15.5 inches, Height 15.5 inches, Weight 13 pounds. This comfortable piece would be great wherever you sit and want to put your feet up, such as a living room, den, or office. And it’s small and light enough that you can easily move it from room to room. Was asking $75.

The Story 

I found this item curbside next to a condo building close to the Naval Observatory in D.C. The original upholstery and cushion were badly in need of replacement, but the piece was otherwise in very good shape—it works perfectly well, and the original white painted finish is clean and unscratched. I used some new thick foam and a layer of batting (from Joann), covered them with some new upholstery material (from G Street Fabrics), and re-attached the cushion base to the frame with screws. If you don’t have a rocking chair, this is the next best thing.
