The Story

I found this table in an alley in my Glover Park neighborhood of D.C. It was in perfectly good shape but seemed a little boring. I removed the glass top and replaced it with pallet wood that I sanded smooth, stained a medium/dark brown, protected with three coats of Minwax water-based clear satin Polycrylic, and attached to a backing piece of underlayment. I spray painted the frame dark red and attached the new top to the frame with screws. I think I succeeded in giving this table more substance, more character, and in making it more distinctive.
